Le Clos Faubourg de Notre-Dame — a walled single vineyard, a Fourny family monopole since 1930, from vines of the same lineage as Rothschild's. Plus a rare rosé Blanc de Blancs and a natural Blanc with no added sugar (brut nature).
Charles-Henry Fourny is the fifth generation of his family to make Champagne in Vertus, a Premier Cru village in the Côte des Blancs. We buy from him directly — no importer, no middleman, no warehouse in between.
Around forty parcels are picked and vinified separately, the vines average over forty years old, and the dosage is kept close to nothing. That is why a bottle from us tastes the way it does.
In 2011 their Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru was poured at the Nobel Prize banquet in Stockholm.
